The Six Servants

I'm a huge fan of concept art and Science Fiction movies.  Unfortunately, many movies are simply drenched in special effects. I decided to create concept art for a futuristic interpretation of a Grimm Brother's tale - The Six Servants - but with focus on story and character.  I felt this story was fitting for "today" because robots are today's "servants".  I enlisted the help of Costume Design and Dramaturgy faculty from the Drama Department to assist me during this visual development process.  I conducted research on the cultural significance of German folk tales, researched deep character references, consulted with industrial designers and robotics majors to create concept art that was backed in reality.
